ACA Section 1557 Nondiscrimination Notice (English)

Entities administering any health program or activity that receives federal financial 

assistance(such as hospitals that accept Medicare or doctors who accept Medicaid)

 must provide beneficiaries, enrollees, applicants, and members of the public with a 

notice informing them of their civil rights under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care 

Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, 

age, or disability.
